Managing Director
Mr. Darmawan is a Managing Director in Ares Asia, where he focuses on private equity. Prior to joining Ares in 2023, Mr. Darmawan was a Managing Director at Crescent Point Group, where he focused on corporate private equity investments. Previously, Mr. Darmawan was a Director at SSG Capital in Singapore, where he focused on private credit and special situation investments in Southeast Asia. In addition, Mr. Darmawan was a Vice President at Blackstone Credit in London, where he focused on distressed and special situation investments in Europe across both public and private markets. Mr. Darmawan began his career as an Associate in the Investment Banking division at JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York and London. Mr. Darmawan holds a B.S. from the University of Virginia in Commerce with a Finance concentration.
