Vice President, Foundation Program Officer
Ms. Torres is a Vice President and Program Officer for the Ares Charitable Foundation, for which she leads U.S. and European grantmaking to help accelerate economic equity and equality. Prior to joining Ares in 2023, Ms. Torres was a Director of the Blackstone Launchpad Network at Blackstone, where she focused on growing, developing and overseeing a portfolio of grantees that offered entrepreneurship programing to college students for business creation and career advancement. Ms. Torres has over 15 years of career experience working across various sectors, including nonprofit, higher education, public housing and local government launching, managing public and private partnerships and programs in the areas of economic development, talent pipeline solutions, small business development, financial inclusion and college access\success. Previously, Ms. Torres was the Founder of Evolucionada Consulting LLC. Ms. Torres serves on the Board of Directors for the Bronx Community College Foundation of the City University of New York, the Board of Directors and Governance Committee of the civic engagement nonprofit Women Creating Change and advisory councils for Syracuse University. She holds a dual degree with a B.A. in Communications and Rhetorical Studies and a B.S. in Information Management and Technology from Syracuse University. Ms. Torres also holds an M.A. from Syracuse University's Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs in International Relations and an M.S. from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in Public Relations.
