Mr. Plavnick is a Partner in Ares Infrastructure Debt, where he focuses on sourcing, structuring and managing infrastructure debt investments throughout the Americas. Prior to joining Ares in 2025, Mr. Plavnick was a Partner and Managing Director at Global Infrastructure Partners in New York, where he originated and structured multiple private debt investments in the infrastructure space as well as participated in investment committees and portfolio management. Previously, he was a Managing Director at Oaktree Capital Management. where he focused on high-yield and distressed dedicated funds. Mr. Plavnick began his career as a Structurer and Trader of credit products including derivatives, collateralized loans and project finance debt at Deutsche Bank in London and New York. He holds an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
