Mr. Wayne is a Partner in the Corporate Accounting Group of the Ares Finance and Accounting Department. Prior to joining Ares in 2025, he was Chief Accountant in the Division of Investment Management at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, where he led the Chief Accountant's Office in developing and overseeing accounting, auditing, and financial reporting policies for investment companies, and managed the statutorily mandated financial statement review program for all registered and regulated investment companies. Previously, Mr. Wayne was a Senior Manager at KPMG LLP, where he specialized in auditing public and private investment companies, with a particular focus on public business development companies. He holds a B.S. from the University of Southern California in Accounting. He holds a CPA license in the State of California (active) and Washington, D.C. (inactive).
